During fiscal year 2024, more than 4,700 Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) associates registered nearly 50,000 shoppers for a new Military Star Card account, resulting in more than $5 million in earnings.
Associates support program goals set by the Exchange Credit Program (ECP) and their regions by opening a minimum of one account while performing their regular duties.
“Associates play a vital role in our mission to make the Military Star Card the preferred card of the military community,” said ECP Senior Vice President (SVP) Tommy Ward. “The work everyone puts in each day is second to none.”
The Military Star Card offers benefits for shoppers and the Exchange. In 2024, the card generated $473 million in value for the military community, including from interest savings and rewards for service members and their families.
TOP ASSOCIATES
Hickam AFB Exchange, JB Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Customer Experience Associate Betty Ferrer brought in the most accounts, with 1,156 opened during fiscal year 2024.
Ferrer was among the top 25 associates who brought in more than 12,000 new accounts, resulting in a combined $1.1 million in store earnings.
