As Americans embrace New Year’s resolutions focused on wellness, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) reiterated that it continues to make offering Better-For-You (BFY) meals and snacks a priority for the military community through its BE FIT 360 program.
As part of this program — which is dedicated to holistic wellness — the Exchange offers fresh choices at all restaurants, Expresses and self-service markets.
“The Exchange is fully committed to supporting nutrition and wellness for the military community, keeping the nation’s Total Force ready and resilient,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Rich Martinez, the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor.
“We are dedicated to ensuring warfighters and military families have access to Better-For-You meals and snacks to fuel them throughout the day,” he stated.

To fuel up on the go, warfighters can use easy-to-spot Healthier Choices, Healthier Lifestyle shelf tags to identify BE FIT 360-approved snacks and meals at 350 Express stores worldwide.
Healthy snacks, such as fresh fruit, trail mix, veggie chips and yogurt, are also available at Expresses to support nutritious choices.
For service members who may not be near an Exchange restaurant or Express while working, there are a growing number of 24/7 self-service stores with fresh options including salads, fruits, sandwiches and more.
“From grab-and-go snacks to meals for the family, the Exchange is all in to support nutrition and wellness goals,” Martinez said. “The Exchange is honored to make healthy eating a part of everyday life on and off duty.”
