AAFES Exchange Brings New Flavors To Military Community

• SELFRIDGE ANGB, Mich.

Late last year, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) welcomed a new dining option, Pop’s Place, to the installation, offering Mexican and American cuisine to the community.

From the menu’s variety to the family-friendly environment, the restaurant has quickly become a favorite among the military community.

Pop’s Place offers burritos, tacos, nachos, salads, burgers, fries, hot dogs, sandwiches, ribs and other items, catering to a wide range of tastes on the installation.

The restaurant celebrated veterans visiting the Exchange on Veterans Day with a complimentary salad bar.

“The community has responded very positively to Pop’s Place,” said Services Business Manager Doaa Hassan. “Guests have been enjoying the variety and mix of flavors as well as the welcoming atmosphere. We’re confident the restaurant will become a staple for military families to dine at.”

The new restaurant is the latest addition to the dining lineup at Selfridge ANGB, as the Exchange welcomed Hunt Brothers Pizza and unattended retail units (URU) this year.
