The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is celebrating the “Month of the Military Child” in April with hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities.
STATEMENT: “MONTH OF THE MILITARY CHILD”
On its website, the agency posted a statement, “Celebrating Future Leaders, Innovators and Problem-Solvers of Tomorrow”:
“We understand the sacrifices military children make, as many of our employees are former military children or have served as a family with children themselves.
“Our commitment to honoring their experiences and supporting their growth reflects the values we hold dear — values shaped by first-hand understanding of the military lifestyle.
“Join us in honoring the incredible resilience and potential of military children by engaging in exciting STEM activities!
“This initiative offers hands-on, educational experiences that spark curiosity and inspire young minds to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
“Whether it’s building, coding, or experimenting, STEM activities empower military children and provide a fun, interactive way to learn.
“Let’s come together to celebrate the future leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers of tomorrow!”
