The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) officially opened its new Grab N’ Go facility here on Sept. 24.  

Whether grabbing a meal before heading to the flightline, refueling during a late shift or picking up food between missions, personnel now have a convenient option designed to meet the demands of a busy, around-the-clock installation.  

FOOD OPTIONS 

The new service, open Monday-Friday, 6 a.m.-8 a.m. and 8 p.m. to midnight, provides ready-to-eat, nutritious options for flightline and maintenance personnel, security forces, dorm residents, transient personnel and members of the broader Aviano AB community.  

The destination provides fast, nutritious and cost-effective meal options designed to support personnel working around the clock.   

By offering healthier choices during late operations and nontraditional work hours, the Grab N’ Go helps personnel stay fueled without having to sacrifice convenience or affordability.  

For personnel whose schedules often extend beyond traditional meal service hours, convenient access to healthier food options can play an important role in maintaining more energy, readiness and overall well being.   

FITNESS, HEALTHY LIFESTYLES 

The new Grab N’ Go also complements Aviano AB’s continued emphasis on fitness and healthy lifestyles.  

Providing accessible, nutritious choices gives Airmen and community members another resource to support the fitness standards and culture of readiness that are important aspects of the mission.  

The opening of the Grab N’ Go represents another way the Aviano AB Commissary is supporting the people who keep the base operating, one meal, one shift and one mission at a time.
