KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Robert Irvine
Robert Irvine is a world-class chef, entrepreneur, and tireless philanthropic supporter of our nation’s military. Formerly, as the host of Food Network’s hit show Restaurant: Impossible, he gave struggling restaurateurs a second chance to turn their lives and businesses around in over 300 episodes across 22 seasons.
He would know a thing or two about running a successful business. First, there are his restaurants; he has two Fresh Kitchen By Robert Irvine locations, one within the Pentagon and the other at Joint Base Andrews. He also created Victory Fresh, a healthy grab-and-go concept restaurant for the U.S. Army at Fort Jackson. He is the owner or co-owner of several other companies, including Terra Arma, makers of luxurious hard-use clothing; Robert Irvine Foods, which makes prepared, restaurant-quality dishes available in grocery stores and provides food service to military bases worldwide; and the Lansdale, PA-based Boardroom Spirits, creators of handcrafted rum and whiskey, as well as his own signature Irvine Spirts line of vodka and American dry gin. He is also the founder of FitCrunch, whose protein bars, powders, and snacks are available nationwide.
A portion of the proceeds from all of Robert’s endeavors benefit the Robert Irvine Foundation. Created in 2014, the foundation gives back to our servicemen and women and first responders.

Parking and Transportation Instructions for NIB Event Attendees
NIB Garage Parking
Underground garage parking is available on a limited basis at the National Industries for the Blind (NIB) building at 3000 Potomac Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia 22305. The parking rate is $6 per hour with a $25 daily maximum. Event parking is limited to 35 spaces and is controlled by a parking attendant. Once the 35 spaces are filled, event attendees will need to park at one of the alternative locations listed below.
The garage entrance is located on Dogue Street. From East Glebe Road turn onto Dogue Street and enter the first garage on the right-hand side of the street. You will see signage for the NIB parking garage (note that the second garage entrance is not NIB’s garage). Click here for a map.
Upon entering the garage, inform the parking attendant that you are attending an America Logistics Association Foodservice Summit. Once admitted to the garage, park only on levels of P2 (after parking space 219) through P4. Parking spaces on levels P1 and P2 prior to space 219 are reserved for Kaiser Permanente members.
Each parking garage floor has a lobby with elevator call keypads (note the call keypads are in the elevator lobby and not in the elevator itself). Select “1” on the call keypad; once you’ve arrived at the first floor a NIB event staff member will direct you to the second-floor conference area. Important: Use the second floor elevator lobby to return to the garage. On the call keypad, enter “P” and your parking level. For instance, enter “P2,” “P3,” or “P4” on the call keypad.
To exit the garage, insert your parking ticket at the pay kiosk and pay the fee using Apple Pay, a debit, or credit card (note that the kiosk does not accept cash). A parking attendant is available should you have any questions or have difficulty exiting the garage; an “assist” button is located on the pay kiosk if an attendant is not present.
American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
Once the NIB garage parking allocation is met, the parking attendant will refer attendees to the APTA self-pay parking garage just north of the NIB Parking Garage on Dugue Street (3030 Potomac Ave) and is limited to 40 spaces for event attendees.
Street Parking
Limited paid street parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the NIB building with payment occurring through the ParkMobile app.
NOTE: We recommend that you do not park in Target’s parking spaces at the Potomac Yard shopping center nor in the nearby parking spaces across from the NIB building as there are strict towing policies. If towed, posted signs have towing contact information.
Giant Parking Garage
A Giant Food grocery store is located within a short walking distance from the NIB building on East Glebe Road and provides free parking.
Potomac Yard-VT Metro
The NIB building is located directly across the street from the Potomac Yard-VT Metro South Pavilion Exit. Both Metro Blue and Yellow lines run through the station. To enter the NIB building from Street Parking, Giant Parking, or the Metro, use the lobby doors located on the corner of Potomac Avenue and East Glebe Road. Lobby attendees or event staff will direct you to the second-floor conference area.
