Winners of the Army & Air Force Exchange Service’s (AAFES) Chief Operating Officer (COO) X Award were announced on April 28.  

The award for operational excellence is presented to one main Exchange in each store-size category (small, medium, large and mega). 

Winners are selected based on criteria including earnings, Military Star usage, gross margin return on investment (GMROI) and inventory variance. 

WINNERS 

The 2025 COO X Award winners were: 

Small Exchange: F.E. Warren AFB, Wyo., Main Store (Western Region) 

Medium: Vicenza, Italy, Main Store (Europe Region) 

Large: JBSA-Randolph AFB, Texas, Main Store (Central Region) 

Mega: Fort Cavazos, Texas, Main Store (Central Region) 

“Exchange stores strive daily to serve the best customers in the world,” said Exchange COO/Executive Vice President (EVP) Marla Randolph. “This year’s winners set themselves apart with superb results across operational categories. 

“Their initiative, versatility and service are force multipliers for the organization’s success.”
