In late January, the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) installation here held an employee recognition event where Mini-Mart sales associates were cited for their exceptional service.

Brett Haftel, NEXCOM district operations manager, opened the event by making some brief remarks, and this was followed by the award presentations.

Among those who were cited during this event was Store Associate Michaela Curtis, who was presented with the prestigious Associate of the Year Award for Fiscal Year 2025.

Another award winner was Store Associate Dwaylene Yates, who received the Associate of the Quarter Award for Fourth Quarter 2025.

Along with Haftel, those attending the event included Commander Adrian Gray, NWS Yorktown’s executive officer; Jai Snipes, NWS Yorktown store manager; and other store managers from area Navy exchanges.
