NEXCOM Opens Upgraded Food Bar

In mid-July, the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) opened the base’s newly upgraded food bar.

As part of the 21st Century Sailor Initiative, the NEXCOM made upgrades to the food bar including the addition of grab-and-go food, coffee and other beverages. The new footprint provides a convenience store for Sailors and civilians.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official opening of the food bar.

21st CENTURY SAILOR INITIATIVE

The 21st Century Sailor Initiative is a comprehensive program aimed at enhancing the personal and professional readiness of sailors in the U.S. Navy.

It focuses on various aspects of well-being, including mental health, physical fitness and career development to ensure a resilient and effective force.
