Operation Holistic Warrior (OHW) is an annual exercise dedicated to strengthening the Army Reserve fighting force, and this year, the program included a visit to the local Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) facility here.
Forty-nine soldiers from 40 units attended OHW 2025, a workshop centered on five Holistic Health and Fitness domains: sleep readiness; mental readiness; spiritual readiness; nutritional readiness; and physical readiness.
Operation Holistic Warrior supports soldiers in adopting an H2F lifestyle, optimizing their performance both on and off the battlefield —
And this lifestyle includes nutritional readiness — healthy choices and healthy eating — which was clearly demonstrated by a visit to the base’s commissary.
On March 21, Lt. Col. Sheila Lavertue led a commissary tour during the program.
In preparation for battle, understanding and using the healthy selection that can be found at the commissary can help to improve Soldier readiness and lethality.
