Roles in McLane:
VP Purchasing / VP Distribution/ Corporate Category Manager / Corporate Director of Procurement / VP Merchandising / National Sales Manager / Director Military Sales. At times I was the HR Manager and IT manager as well Janitor, Driver, Selector as well. Whatever you do don’t let me drive the Forklift.. lol
Much of my career I was on the Leadership Team assigned to opening multiple new McLane DC’S which included hiring and training Management teams.
In addition, I was heavily involved when McLane moved from Decentralized Procurement to Centralized Procurement which included developing our role as a leader in Category Management.
Military Sales I lead the team that manages the relationship with all our Exchange HQ as well as coordinating with all 23 McLane DCS and the local bases. It did not take me long to understand and believe in the Mission of the Exchange Retail networks. McLane takes pride in serving our nation’s finest and I make sure our leadership at all levels understands the importance of this segment of our business.
I am involved as the Chapter President and State VP of the Coastal Conservation Association in NC.
In addition to conservation efforts, we coordinate fishing events for active / retired and wounded warriors as well as Fishing for the Future (kids fishing.
My faith, wife Miller, and family (especially the five grandkids) are my top priority followed closely (SMILE) by Tournament Fishing and community involvement. I believe it is important that we leave this world a better place than when we found it.
